FiTONIC Blissed Chocolate Paleo Protein Brownies
Mmmmm....Brownies. We are starting the season of apple orchards, Friday night football games, crunchy leaves...and baking. But it's no fun to bake what you won't eat because it throws you off your goals. So it's time for a better brownie. One with macros you won't regret!
We tried so many combinations of ingredients to come up with a recipe that is so delicious, everyone in the family will be begging for it. They just don't know it is chalked full of protein bliss.
- 2 scoops FiTONIC Blissed protein blend in Natural Cacao
- 1/2 c. cocoa powder
- 3/4 c. sugar or your favorite sweetener
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 egg
- 1/2 c. coconut oil (plus some for greasing the pan)
- 1/2 c. unsweetened applesauce
- 1/2 c. coffee (decaf works too!)
- dark chocolate chunks or nuts (optional)
Bake brownies first. Preheat oven to 325 F. Grease an 8-inch pan with coconut oil or line with parchment paper. Combine all brownie ingredients in a bowl and stir until smooth. (Sometimes bananas don't smooth perfectly. If you don't get every little banana lump smoothed, they should bake out.) Spread into pan. Lick the bowl. Bake on the center rack for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. They might be a little undercooked when they come out, but let them cool overnight for maximum fudginess. Enjoy!
