And because of our love of Fall...and frankly all things pumpkin, we created a few Fall protein smoothie recipes. This is the first in our pumpkin-delish series.
This recipe is creamy and smooth and deliciously sweet. Eating pumpkin pie on the daily sounds fun, but that definitely misses any whole-body health plan. We found a simple way to get in nearly 30 grams of protein without all the sugar and calories of pie.
If you want to reduce the carbs in this recipe, substitute 1/2 c. pumpkin puree for the pumpkin pie filling and consider adding a touch of stevia.
1 c. almond milk (or your fave nut milk) 1 scoop FiTONIC Fit Protein Powder 1/4 c. pumpkin pie filling (or use 1/2 c. pumpkin puree to reduce carbs) 1/2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice 1 Tb. almond butter chia seeds or oats for topping (optional)
Blend ingredients together. Top with chia seeds or oats for texture.
