We are always on the lookout for fun fast ways to pump up the protein in our meals, while keeping the sugars low. We created this Fast & Fit Protein Oatmeal one day in the kitchen while we stared into the pantry, wanting something new. We grabbed a few items that looked independently yummy threw them together and breakfast happened!
Turns out that lazy accident is now a family breakfast staple. It's warm, filling, and deliciously sweet with the macros we want and none of the junk we don't. You can create this dish in less than two minutes. So your morning prep time can be preserved for what matters most: sweaty squats and layers and layers of mascara.
So here's how you make this little dream dish.
1/3 c. dry oats
2/3 c. water
1/2 scoop FiTONIC Fit Protein Powder
1 Tb peanut butter (or your favorite nut butter)
Fruit or nuts to top (optional)
Add the water and oats together. Microwave for 1 minute (or make on the stove top following the directions on the oats). When the oats are cooked and still piping hot (this is important that they still be hot), quickly stir in the FiTONIC Fit protein powder and peanut butter.
If the oats cool before you mix them in, the peanut butter will sit like a glob in the center. It will still be yummy. I mean, hello, glob of peanut butter. But it will not create a dreamy smoothie filled with Fit fun.
So hot = stirring time. If you have a moment to top off with some fresh fruits or nuts, breakfast will be super extra. Enjoy!
