How to Avoid Weight Gain During the Holidays
Staying (or getting) Fit during the Holidays is NOT easy. Thanksgiving and Christmas (and all the days between) are carb and sugar CENTRAL. If you are like us….we sure like those things. However, this year we want to help keep each other accountable and make sure that we stay true to our fitness goals.
It is definitely important to enjoy the holidays but we also want to be set up for success! We actually put together a FULL fitness challenge (with a $500 cash prize) to add even more accountability to those who are super serious about staying healthy. The challenge starts soon but until then we wanted to share a few helpful tips with you!

Tip #1 Plan (Have a PLAN!)
Having a plan is EVERYTHING. Without it, there is no accountability and no real way of knowing if you are (or are not) making progress. We actually recorded a full podcast on this topic and Ten Reasons Why You Need a Fitness Plan.

Tip #2 Buffett Lines
You will encounter HUGE spreads during all the holiday parties. Instead of going through the line with a plate picking out what you want as you go, the best thing to do is to do a walk around first and make a decision.
Tip #3 Hydrate your Skin

Tip #4 Sweat with a Friend
You do NOT have to do this alone. In fact, you shouldn't! Did you know statistically you are way more likely to stick to your fitness goals if you have a sweat friend to help keep you accountable?
Whether it's showing up to the gym together, being food friends (more about that here), or just encouraging one another- if you have an accountability partner your chances of getting and staying fit are way, way higher.
